Whimsical Whiskers Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to providing a safe haven for cats in need. Our mission is to provide a voice for the voiceless, offer sanctuary to animals in need, and inspire a community where animals are cherished and protected. Our rescue is based out of Assumption, IL, but we rescue in all surrounding counties!

Getting more than one? $10 discount per cat.
WHAT'S INCLUDED?
Our cats come spayed/neutered, microchipped, parasite treated, flea/ear mite treated, and vaccinated with age-appropriate vaccines.
WHY ADOPT?
Adopting insures you know that you are giving a home to an animal and supporting a great cause. It is also wallet friendly in comparison to paying for all kitten vetting yourself! Each adoption means we can continue to help more cats, so you save two lives.
FOSTERING
Are you interested in giving a cat a temporary, soft place to land? Fosters are incredibly important, as we work entirely foster based. The more places we can send cats, the more cats we can help.
Meet the Kitties
Hailey Monnet is our Executive Director and Founder. Hailey runs day to day operations of the rescue, is head of intake committee, is an adoption/foster coordinator, and medical director. Hailey has several years of veterinary medicine experience and loves the hands on of medical cases. Hailey has been working in rescue for 10+ years.
Rebecca Coombs is our Board President and Co-Founder. Rebecca oversees the organization and runs the monthly board meetings. Rebecca has experience in rescue helping Hailey for many years, and has the biggest heart for animals, owning several rescues herself, and is a foster. She loves a good special needs case.
Macie Brown is our Board Vice President. Macie ran Central Illinois Feline Rescue previously and has veterinary medicine experience. You can find Macie fundraising, donating, making community connections, doing TNR work, and picking up every animal she sees in need. She is also an adoption/foster coordinator. Macie is a huge advocate and speaks out against negligence in all sorts.
Hannah Goralski is our Board Treasurer. Apart from her full time career and busy schedule, Hannah volunteers her time to maintain our organization's financial records and budget. With her extensive experience in marketing, she also assists in running our social media and managing our events. As a huge animal lover, she has rescued and raised several animals of her own and is very passionate about our mission.
OUR TEAM
Maddie Schneider is our Board Secretary and Petsmart Coordinator. At Petsmart, Maddie tends to our available cats and coordinates their adoptions. You will also find her helping with social media, fundraising, grant writing and making community connections. Maddie has 8 cats of her own and fosters as needed. She has experience in human/social services and is a long time advocate for all animals in need.
